Architecture (2023/24/25)

The Architecture collection is a monochrome exploration of the built environment, where form, light, and perspective become subjects in their own right. From the soaring lines of modern structures to the weathered textures of heritage buildings, each artwork transforms familiar spaces into moments of contemplation. Together, the series invites viewers to see architecture not only as shelter or utility, but as a canvas for human ambition, history, and imagination.

Architecture is a curated collection of monochrome artworks that celebrate the beauty, drama, and quiet poetry of the built environment. Each piece stands alone as a distinct exploration of form, light, and perspective — from the soaring lines of modern structures to the weathered textures of heritage buildings. The series invites viewers to see architecture not just as shelter or utility, but as a canvas for human ambition, history, and imagination. Whether capturing the precision of engineered symmetry, the patina of time, or the interplay between myth and everyday life, these works transform familiar spaces into moments of contemplation.

More Information

The Architecture Collection

Viewed together, the works in Buildings & Architecture form a tapestry of expression. The collection shifts between scales and eras — from the intimate detail of a weathered fire escape to the monumental sweep of a bridge’s underbelly. Historic craftsmanship sits alongside modern engineering and surreal conceptual blends.

The monochrome palette unifies the set. By stripping away colour, form, texture, and light take centre stage.

Highlights from the Collection

  • High Hopes — converging skyscrapers pull the eye upward, a study in aspiration and human ambition.
  • Under the Bridge — transforms engineering into rhythm and geometry.
  • Harnessing the Power of the Wind — bridges centuries of renewable energy design in a single surreal gesture.
  • Toft Monks: St Margaret Church and The Brush Factory — honour heritage, where stone and brick carry the weight of time and craft.
  • Fire Escape — celebrates the grit and graphic strength of urban survival architecture.
  • Triton, Son of Poseidon — blends mythological grandeur with the everyday charm of the British seaside.

Individually, each piece offers a self‑contained visual experience. Together, they reveal moments where architecture becomes more than structure: it becomes story, symbol, and art.
